NEW COO for Panther Warehousing

NEW COO for Panther Warehousing

Northampton-based white glove delivery specialist Panther Warehousing has appointed Brian McCarthy as its new Chief Operating Officer.

McCarthy was previously Logistics Director at bed retailer Dreams and before that held positions at Home Retail Group and Asda.

Panther told Post&Parcel that a key part of McCarthy’s strategy is to “focus on the customer experience in the final mile”.

McCarthy commented: “Panther has grown because it knows the delivery experience is vital.

“If a customer is impressed with the service they have received, they are more likely to order from the same place again. Essentially, it is an extension of their buying experience with the retailer.

“Consumers are now more willing to order expensive and large items online, and this is a testament to the practices and hard work of firms like Panther.

“Panther was among the first to bring the immediacy of the high street to the world of delivery.

“I’m delighted to be part of a company in its ascendancy and will relish working with the team and improving our offering even further.”

McCarthy’s appointment comes at a period of strong growth for Panther. Having achieved a turnover of £55m in 2017, the company is forecasting £72m for this year and aims to grow to £114m by 2021.
