GLS Germany now testing eCrafters in Dortmund and Nuremberg

GLS Germany has reported that its parcel depot in Dortmund is now trialling a VW eCrafter electric vehicle. The GLS depot in Nuremberg has been involved in the pre-service test of the VW delivery vehicle since February.

In a statement issued today (25 April), GLS said that the depot in Dortmund offered ideal conditions for electric vehicle testing, because of its proximity to the city centre.

The company also reported that the initial results from the tests in Nuremberg have been positive.

GLS currently uses 13 electric vehicles, operating in six cities.
