DPD breaks ground on new parcel centre in Hamm

DPD Germany has start construction work on its new parcel distribution centre in Westphalia.

Located at Hamm near Dortmund, the facility will become operational in the autumn of 2019.

In a statement issued this week, DPD said that it is investing around €50m in the new centre, which is on a 122,000 m² site located on the InlogParc business park.

According to DPD: “The quantity of parcels which will be processed daily will rise in gradual steps from an initial 80,000 to more than 200,000 per day.”
