TPG CEO: No 4Q express gains

TPG NV Chief Executive Peter Bakker said sales growth at the Dutch postal and logistics company’s express operations in Europe showed no improvement in the fourth quarter.

Express operations in Europe posted annual sales growth of just 2 percent since 2000.

“It seems that we have to consider this growth rate as a reality for coming years,” Bakker was quoted as saying by Dow Jones.

His comments came at a meeting at Rabobank in Utrecht, The Netherlands at which the bank presented its economic outlook for next year.
