New services from Poste Italiane
Promoposta: Total coverage for advertising
and promotional material
Promoposta is a new product from Poste Italiane that allows companies to send advertising, printed material, and samples to all addresses in one or more postal codes. With the new service, firms and other organizations have a quick and inexpensive way
of reaching out to all those in a particular area, without having to envelope, address, or wrap mail items. Promoposta is ideally suited for recurrent marketing campaigns, providing information about special events or performances, offering discounts,
mailing samples, or sending questionnaires to gather information from potential customers. In urban areas, Poste Italiane guarantees delivery in five working days from the time it reaches the provincial distribution centre, with a delivery time of six days for areas outside cities.
Seguimi: A simple mail forwarding
solution for household and
business customers
A change of address often involves a lot of hassle. Poste Italiane’s customers can now have one less worry, however, thanks to its new Seguimi (Follow me) service. Both
household and business customerscan now have mail sent to their former
address forwarded to their new one. Seguimi is available throughout Italy and redirects most mail items, including regular, priority, registered and insured mail (track & trace still
being available for the latter two even as they are being forwarded to the new address), as well as postal orders, telegrams and print publications such as newspapersand magazines. Legal documents, however, can only be forwarded to an address in the same municipality as the former one. Customers can sign up for Seguimi in any of Poste Italiane’s 14,000 post offices. All that is necessary is to fill in a form, giving the former and
new addresses, and choosing the length of time that the customer wishes to activate the service. Periods of three, six and twelve months are available, at varying rates for
households and businesses. Once the service period has expired, mail that is still addressed to the old address is returned to the sender, as would have been the case from the outset if the customer had not used Seguimi.
