New initiatives from FedEx, DHL to compete in Thai shipping market

FedEx Express has opened a new service centre on Silom Road in Bangkok. Among customers expected to benefit from the increased convenience are those in the city’s high-value gem and jewellery trade seeking next day delivery to Asia, the company said.

Meanwhile, DHL Express has introduced Time Definite Delivery (TDD) service to Shanghai. The “startday” and “midday” services would offer the latest possible collection times for early next-day deliveries at 9 am and noon respectively, DHL executives said.
