TPG participates in sales process for Post Danmark

Following increasing speculation in the international press, TPG N.V. confirms today that it has recently made a non-binding preliminary bid for a 25 percent stake in Post Danmark, as a first step in a sales process organised by the Danish government.

TPG is bound to confidentiality and will not be providing any further information about the status or the different steps in the process, but will of course inform the market without delay if and when a positive outcome for TPG will be achieved.

TPG N.V., with its two brands TNT and Royal TPG Post, is a global provider of mail, express and logistics services. The group employs around 160,000 people in 64 countries and serves over 200 countries. For 2003 the company reported sales of € 11.9 billion. TPG N.V. is publicly listed on the stock exchanges of Amsterdam, New York, London and Frankfurt.
