Italy TNT Global Express Appoints Massimo Silvetti CEO
TNT Global Express, the Italian unit of Dutch mail, express and logistics services provider TPG NV, appointed Massimo Silvetti its new CEO, it was reported on September 23, 2004.
Silvetti was nominated by the management board of TPG.
TNT Global Express registered a turnover of some 500 mln euro ($613. 9 mln) in 2003. The company employs some 8, 000 people. TNT Global Express has 135 offices in Italy, 3, 400 trucks and six aircraft. The company transports an average of over 140, 000 deliveries daily.
