Norway Postal Service to cut 1600 jobs next year

The Norwegian Postal Service (Posten) will cut its workforce by 1600 man-years next year.

Around 50 per cent of all the letter and parcel terminals will be closed down.

Many of those who will become redundant have more than 25 years of service with the postal service, and will have small chances for finding new jobs.

Fifty of the terminals will be closed down next year, according to NRK.
