Nightspeed Deliveries Get One Million Pound Boost

Nightspeed Secure Worldwide Express will be ensuring that more parcels will be delivered on time, securely and safely, with an investment of nearly one million pounds in a brand new fleet of sixteen specialised double-deck trailers – one of the biggest double deck fleet upgrades seen this year.

Tipton, West Midlands based Nightspeed Secure Worldwide Express has purchased the 16 purpose-built double deck trailers to improve the reliability and efficiency of the crucial overnight trunking operation.

Nightspeed’s continued success has resulted in winning customers from those sectors that realise the true value of utilising a carrier that passionately believes in secure, low damage delivery and who can offer a genuinely flexible approach to the business to business sector.

The unwavering emphasis on security throughout the business was a major factor in the HM Government choosing Nightspeed Secure Worldwide Express for the ten year partnership deal, Govmail which is dedicated to secure parcel and mail transit for the public sector.

The double deck trailers with enhanced security features are being supplied by Lawrence David Ltd. The trailers are 4.8m step frame GRP trailers, with a two-tier tower lift serving the upper deck, which can hold 47 roll cages and lower deck which holds 32 roll cages. The new trailers are powder coated to increase longevity of use.

Commenting on the investment, Ian Pickford, Managing Director said: “The investment in these double-deck units comes after a range of other key investments throughout the year in both the trunking and collection and delivery fleet. We believe it is only through continued investment in our infrastructure that we can sustain and enhance the quality of service we offer to our customers”.
