Poste Italiane, Banca Italease launch Leasing BancoPosta

Italian state-owned postal services company Poste Italiane and local leasing company Banca Italease S. p. A. launched on May 10, 2005, the joint service Leasing BancoPosta.

Leasing BancoPosta is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), traders and freelancers. They can apply for a financing of up to 150, 000 euro ($192, 795) for real estate and capital goods purchases.

[Editor’s note: Poste Italiane SpA registered a consolidated net profit of 236 mln euro ($303. 3 mln) for 2004, compared to 90. 3 mln euro ($116. 1 mln) for 2003. Operating profit dropped by 82 pct on an annual basis to 796. 4 mln euro ($1. 023 bln) in 2004. Turnover amounted to over 9. 0 bln euro ($11. 568 bln) for the same year, ANSA reported on February 22, 2005. ] (ANSA).
