UK Parceline GBP1.29m investment in Lancashire

Leading express parcels carrier Parceline has invested £1.29m in the region by taking on new, purpose-built premises in Millennium City Park, Preston.

Previously located on Roman Way, Parceline is a trading success story, with a growing customer list of regional businesses, which makes this move to larger premises necessary.

The new 4.3 acre site comprises a 31,646 sq ft warehouse as well as office space. Not only is it larger, but it also incorporates state-of-the-art technology to improve the efficiency of the operation. Using a new fully automated system, the sorting of parcels is much quicker and more efficient. The new site also operates the latest energy-saving technology with movement-activated lighting across most of the site.

Parceline deliberately chose a new site near to their previous premises to protect existing employees and ensure that they can easily retain their jobs.

“We currently have 76 local people working for us, who are all moving to our new premises” says depot manager Declan O’Duffy.
