Kuehne & Nagel buys Denmark’s Ziegler & Co
Kuehne & Nagel International AG said it has acquired Danish forwarder Ziegler & Co. ApS, retroactive to Oct 1.
No financial details were disclosed.
The group will be integrated into the Danish Kuehne & Nagel operations.
The Swiss logistics group said the takeover marks a further step in the its strategy to ‘globally expand capabilities and capacities in the wine & spirits industry’.
Ziegler & Co, headquartered in Copenhagen, provides wine logistics serves and handles shipments from markets in Australia, South Africa, South America, the US and Europe, mostly by sea. The family-owned company generated turnover of 58 mln dkr in 2004.
