Poste Italiane new services generate 10 pct revenue
Ten percent of the revenue registered by the Italian state-owned postal services company Poste Italiane is generated by new services, introduced over the past three years, Massimo Sarmi, chief executive officer (CEO), said on February 2, 2006.
“Our goal is to grow with innovation. In fact, there is not much space for growth in the traditional postal and financial services and that is why we consider new opportunities and services,” Sarmi said.
[(Editor’s note: Poste Italiane ended the first half of 2005 with a consolidated revenue of 4.8 bln euro ($5.807 bln), up 6.5 pct year-on-year, ANSA reported on October 3, 2005.] (ANSA)
