UK water company signs with DSTi Ouput

DSTi Output, the UK transactional mail and technology company, has added utility company Sutton and East Surrey Water to its client list. The new contract will see DSTi Output take over the print for Sutton and East Surrey’s billing and recovery letter mailings. Sutton and East Surrey Water, which has signed a five year contract to use DSTi Output’s new ‘design to door’ transactional mail service, supplies over 275,000 properties and serves a population of approximately 642,000 people.

The customer base has a split of approximately 259,000 domestic and 16,000 commercial customers, over a 322 square mile area.

Tim Delahay, the chief executive officer of DSTi Output, commented: ‘Our state-of-the-art technology and revolutionary approach to our client’s transactional mailing requirements makes us an ideal partner for utility companies.

Our in-house design team help improve the clarity of consumer communications, a high priority for many in the utility sector and this is reinforced with industry-leading 6Sigma quality standards and 100 per cent service level agreements.’ He added: ‘Sutton and East Surrey Water has recognised this and is already beginning to reap the efficiency, quality and cost saving rewards.’ DSTi Output said that its transactional mailings service is based on an integrated technology and print operation that allows transactional mail, such as bills and statements, to be printed in full colour on to white paper, eliminating the cost of pre-printed material, or base stationery, that minimises redundant and obsolete stock.

Nigel Hammond, customer accounts manager at Sutton and East Water, said: ‘DSTi Output will help us to achieve excellent service levels and reduce cost across all areas of our mailings.

In addition, we believe that DSTi Output can help us to build stronger relationships with our customers by making our transactional mailing work harder for us’.
