Sendcloudthe e-commerce shipping platform in Europe, is strengthening its board with the appointment of Madelein Smit as its new COO on November 1, 2022. The appointment follows a year after the company closed a €150 million Series C funding round and will support it in its next stage of growth.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Madelein and her wealth of experience to the Sendcloud team. Madelein is an experienced executive renowned for her entrepreneurial mindset,” says Rob van den Heuvel, CEO and Co-founder at Sendcloud. “As a firm believer in the power of technology to disrupt the world, Madelein perfectly fits our mission to turn shipping into an accelerator for growth. I’ve always loved making the impossible possible and was highly impressed by the talented Sendcloud team and its can-do mentality,” says Madelein. “Sendcloud is one of Europe’s most exciting high-growth businesses and is at the forefront of disrupting the shipping industry. I’m thrilled to be joining the team at this pivotal time to focus on further scaling the business and preparing the company and its people for the next growth stage.”
