Croatian Post: Satisfied employees are the prerequisite for further increase in productivity and profitability

In conversation with social partners, the Management Board of Croatian Post reached an agreement on a 25% increase in wages for all workers.

After the pay of 8,000 workers in operational jobs increased by 20% last year, the new increase is a response to the labor market challenges faced by all employers, both globally and locally.

Croatian Post is fully aware that the increase in wages is the only real answer to the increased fluctuation of workers. Current trends in the labor market require an improvement in the material conditions of workers, because the stability of the postal system depends on postmen, couriers, drivers and counter workers.

The total investment in increasing workers’ incomes will amount to nearly 30m euros per year.

Ivan Čulo, PRESIDENT OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF CROATIAN POST said: “We are pleased that we have successfully and quickly reached an agreement with the social partners. The management of Croatian Post’s priority is to ensure financial stability for colleagues, and thus the long-term successful business of the company. Satisfied employees are the prerequisite for further increase in productivity and profitability and the key to quality service and satisfaction of our customers.”
