Poste Italiane reports “robust” financial results for H1 2023

Italy’s Poste Italiane has announced its financial results for the first half of 2023, which included a ‘robust’ net profit of €601 million for the second quarter that was up 22% year-on-year (y-o-y).

The operating profit for the second quarter was up 9.9% y-o-y at €799 million and revenue grew by 8.5% to €3.0 billion.

The company said this was a “solid financial performance” which “exceeded guidance”.

Poste Italiane’s Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Matteo Del Fante commented: “We are pleased to announce another set of robust results. Once again, we have delivered a solid quarter and ended the first half of the year on a highly positive note, with substantial growth in revenues and profitability compared to the corresponding period in 2022. Group EBIT is up 11% to €1.6 billion and has reached again a record level for the first half of the year, demonstrating our continued success and strong performance in all our businesses.”
