KEBA and GLS “to shape the future of last-mile parcel delivery”

KEBA has announced a strategic partnership with GLS Group, a parcel service provider with presence in Europe and North America.  KEBA specialises in the development of future-proof parcel lockers that provide flexible and sustainable solutions for the first and last mile.

Through the partnership with KEBA, GLS will increase its network of parcel lockers across Europe over the next years.

KEBA offers GLS a comprehensive portfolio that includes hardware, software, rollout, and service offerings—providing a scalable, reliable solution that will be ready for deployment starting in December 2024.

The collaboration with KEBA will create a sustainable and forward-thinking infrastructure, enabling the expansion of the GLS network while bringing services even closer to customers. “The partnership with KEBA is a testament to our commitment to growth and excellence in the last mile delivery space”, said Johan Holstein, Last Mile Director at GLS.

The KEBA partnership will support GLS’ plans to increase the availability of pickup and drop-off points for their customers in the coming years. KEBA’s flexible and reliable parcel lockers allow for fast and efficient expansion at high-traffic locations and the technology provides GLS Group with the necessary flexibility to meet the growing demands of e-commerce.

Cesar Lapuerta, Sales Director at KEBA, states: “We are very excited to extend our collaboration with GLS Group, taking another important step in expanding the network of Automated Parcel Machines (APM). Together, we are bringing the APM infrastructure to a new level with the objective of meeting the continuously growing demands of the market while ensuring a sustainable, future-proof solution.”

The partnership between GLS and KEBA highlights the shared goal of taking a leading role in OOH services while maintaining high service quality for parcel deliveries. This step is part of a long-term growth plan aimed at further expanding the current 89,0001 GLS Points in Europe—a combination of parcel shops and parcel lockers – offering customers even more convenience and flexibility.

Robert Zehetner, Vice President at KEBA concludes: “We are grateful for the trust of Sheila, Johan and their team, which enables us to expand our successful cooperation to new countries and further strengthen the European presence of parcel lockers through our solutions.”
