DPD: We are confident our US traffic will be handled efficiently

Mark 3 International, which specialises in express parcel and freight logistics, particularly between the UK and the US, has entered into a strategic partnership with DPD UK, part of the Geopost Group.

The partnership, which focuses on DPD UK’s US destination traffic, involves the delivery of bespoke solutions designed to efficiently navigate American import regulations, including the recent changes to de minimis exemptions.

As part of a full suite of services, Mark 3 will also provide support around brokerage, B2C, B2B and DDU requirements, alongside wider strategic alignment.

Matthew Ware, CEO at Mark 3, said; “We are delighted to have partnered with DPD UK. It is a world-renowned company, and we look forward to adding real value to its American operations.”

DPD is part of Geopost Group, a leading global logistics provider, with a presence in over 50 countries, employing over 57,000 people, and with annual revenues of €15.8bn.

“At Mark 3, our approach is simple – customers need tailor-made solutions to navigate increasingly complex trading environments, especially when exporting to the USA. As a result, we’re committed to understanding the specific requirements of each customer, and offering an outcome that best serves their needs instead of applying a blanket approach that is inflexible and inefficient, especially when global circumstances change. Our investment in infrastructure, tools and processes, means we can offer the best possible solution for anyone wanting to ship to the US.”

The DPD announcement is part of a wide range of initiatives that Mark 3 has pursued over the last year, including the newly operational 12,000 sq ft facility at JFK airport in New York, the unveiling of plans to open a similar facility at LAX airport in Los Angeles, and the partnership with New York-based tech startup Dobby AI.

Darren Lawrence Director of International at DPD UK, said; “We were very impressed with Mark 3’s expertise in the US logistics market. They helped us when the de minimis changes were introduced and we knew they could provide DPD UK with a solution that is best for our customers and is flexible enough to cope with the turbulent global trade environment in which we all operate.

“We are confident our US traffic will be handled efficiently and with the customer’s best interests at heart, which is the most important thing for us.”
