Austrian Post: the new self-service branch is one of our largest locations in the country

Austrian Post has opened a new self-service branch at Landstraßer Hauptstraße 148 in Vienna’s 3rd district. This will give more than 6,000 households in the neighbourhood the opportunity to pick up or send their parcels around the clock. The location has also been equipped with a flexible counter that can be staffed by an employee in the high season. This also makes it possible to pick up bulky goods parcels that would not find space in a post office.

The new self-service branch has now been officially opened by Erich Hohenberger, District Manager of Wien-Landstraße, and Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG.

Erich Hohenberger, District Chairman, Wien-Landstraße: “‘Always there when you need us!’ is what Austrian Post says. That’s why I’m pleased that a new self-service branch is opening today on Landstraßer Hauptstraße. This ensures short distances for country road users who want to pick up parcels or send something to their loved ones. Thanks to the post office, which, as a Landstraßer company, supplies the whole of Austria with its services!”

Walter Oblin, CEO of Österreichische Post AG: “With our new self-service branch in Landstraßer Hauptstraße, we offer over 6,000 households in the neighbourhood the opportunity to conveniently receive or send parcels around the clock – exactly where people live and work. With over 1,100 pick-up lockers, the new self-service branch is one of our largest locations in the country and creates noticeably more convenience in everyday life. As a company headquartered on Rochusplatz, it is also particularly important to us to contribute to the further growth of our ‘home district’ with modern, reliable infrastructure.”

THE NEW SELF-SERVICE BRANCH IN WIEN-LANDSTRASSE
The new self-service branch offers almost 230 m² of space for large post offices with over 1,100 pick-up lockers, making it one of the largest self-service locations in Austria. A shipping station enables the franking and sending of parcels or returns. The new self-service branch is spacious, with wooden cladding elements contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.
