drop2shop passes 1,000 parcel shop locations as network expands across Ireland

Parcel delivery service drop2shop has expanded its network to every county in the Republic of Ireland after passing 1,000 parcel shop locations.

With its pick-up and drop-off services now extending to all counties across the country, following recent openings including Galway and Limerick, drop2shop is aiming to make sending and receiving parcels even easier for the people of Ireland.

drop2shop, which is owned and operated by Coll-8, an independent customs clearance and logistics specialist, previously revealed its plans to roll out its parcel shop services across 1,200 locations by the end of this month.

This latest expansion follows a recent €15m investment in a new Dublin logistics centre, which the company says will create 150 jobs over the next 12 months in a further boost for the city.

Opened in May and strategically located at Airport Business Park in the capital, the new facility supports a range of integrated services, including customs brokerage, 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) fulfilment, and Pick-Up and Drop-Off (PUDO) operations.

Spanning 100,000 sq ft, the unit features 30 docking doors and is designed to enhance both speed and scalability for clients, with more than 100 brands, including leading fashion and homeware retailers, operating through the facility.

Dave Field, CEO at Coll‑8, said: “Reaching a milestone of 1,000 drop2shop locations is a significant step forward for our business, as we continue to invest in our infrastructure and expand customer choice to enable greater convenience for both our consumers and retailers.

“Alongside the opening of our new Dublin logistics hub, this latest investment strengthens our ability to scale, making it even easier for customers to send and receive parcels, as well as reinforcing Ireland’s position as a strategic gateway for trade both domestically and internationally.”

Originally founded in 2019, Coll-8 has continued to grow, and this was further strengthened last year following the acquisition of the brand by Evri, a UK parcel delivery company.

Coll-8’s bespoke digital customs clearance platform positions the brand as a leader in the field, enabling automated and streamlined cross-border trade for clients, helping to reduce Republic of Ireland parcel delivery times to just two days.
