SingPost Group CEO resigns

The Group CEO of Singapore Post Limited (SingPost), Lau Boon Tuan resigned on Friday to pursue other opportunities. He will also step down as Director of SingPost.
Mr Lau has been SingPost’s Group CEO since February 2005.

In a statement, the Board of Directors said they appreciated his valuable contributions and commitment during a crucial phase of SingPost’s transformation from a dominant provider of postal services to one which now also offers a wider range of products and services, including agency and financial services.

Mr Lau was also responsible for improving efficiencies and strengthening the company’s teamwork. For this, the Board thanked him for his dedicated service to SingPost and wishes him all success in his future endeavours.

Mr Lau said that his three years with SingPost have been both fulfilling on a professional level and enriching on a personal level. He added, ‘SingPost is a company with strong fundamentals. I feel privileged to have led and worked with a very committed and motivated team whose passion and drive will help the company go on to the next level of growth.’

SingPost will be looking for a suitable candidate to take over his post and take the company to the next level.

In the meantime, Mr Dennis Quek will serve as acting CEO. He is currently SingPost’s Chief Operating Officer, Logistics & eBusiness and has over 17 years of experience in both local and regional companies.
