It now has 350 such alternative delivery locations at railway stations, petrol stations, kiosks and post offices.

Swiss Post has extended its PickPost network to 30 new service points located at train stations to offer more convenience and flexibility to customers to pick up their parcels.

With PickPost, customers can pick up their parcels at the time and place most suitable for them. Centrally located and perfectly accessible, train stations are the ideal sites for the PickPost services and are becoming increasingly popular among customers, Swiss Post said.

PickPost delivers the shipments to one of the service points defined by the customer. They often offer longer working hours, some of them being opened even during weekends.

To use the free PickPost service, a one-time registration is required. After the registration, customers receive a personal customer ID and can indicate which PickPost point the parcels and registered letters should be delivered to. The delivered shipment can be then picked up at the particular PickPost point within seven days. The PickPost point can be changed by the customer with every new delivery.
