Postal service set to meet competition
THE postal delivery service in North Lincolnshire is soon to be opened
up to Consignia’s business rivals.
But would-be entrepreneurs have been warned that new-style watchdogs from
the Consumer Council for Postal Services (CCPS) will be around to protect the
interests of consumers.
The CCPS will check before licenses are issued to postal service providers
that the companies have suitable redress and compensation schemes.
The council will also monitor the way the companies handle complaints from
customers and their pricing systems and service quality targets.
