Dairy Delivery

Express Dairies has begun delivering mail order catalogues under a contract with Business Express. Business Express, as part of Littlewoods, delivers about 16 million catalogues a year. It started working with Express Dairies before Christmas – traditionally the busiest time of year for parcel deliveries – freeing up capacity in its own service.

Under the deal, Express Dairies delivers catalogues to houses using is milk floats – in addition to milk and groceries. Time Smith, director of strategy development at Express Dairies said: After the early morning delivery of milk and grocery products, the majority of floats are not being utilised. Todays announcement will mean extended or additional rounds and revenues for Express franchisees. The partnership has more than quadrupled vehicle capacity.
