UPS resumes Haiti service

UPS has resumed limited service in the Port Au Prince and Petionville areas of Haiti. Service was originally suspended after the earthquake struck on 12 January.

Pick ups and deliveries will be made, conditions permitting, within the specified areas.

Inbound service to Haiti is limited to business addresses only. Outbound service is available for all shippers (individuals and companies).

Due to the unstable situation of the local infrastructure, service guarantees to and from Haiti remain suspended.

UPS said: “We are committed to supporting Haiti in its rebuilding efforts and will continue working with the global relief aid organisations to transport much needed supplies.”
