UPS donates tracking technology in Haiti

UPS has donated supply-distribution barcode technology for use by the Salvation Army in its Haiti relief effort. The system is based on UPS’ Trackpad technology, which customers use to track packages within campus environments as the packages move from the loading dock to distributed offices for delivery.

It is replacing handwritten index cards that had been used by the Salvation Army in Haiti following the severe earthquake.
