Itella expands quality management systems

Itella Logistics has expanded its quality management and environment systems to new units in three operating countries. In all, Itella Logistics’ quality and environment certificates now cover 27 locations in six countries: Finland, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, and Russia.

The following Itella Logistics locations were ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified in the most recent auditing:

  • Finland: Service warehouses in Toijala and Pakkala (Vantaa)
  • Denmark: The service warehouse in Kolding
  • Estonia: The logistics center in Tallinn
  • Latvia: The Riga logistics center and the Riga airport office

In addition, as new locations in Russia, the Chernaya Gryaz service warehouse in Moscow and the Shushary service warehouse in St. Petersburg are now ISO 9001 quality certified.

“Taking quality and the environment into account is an increasingly essential part of our operations and the service we provide our customers with. We commit to the goal of all of our eight operating countries being quality and environment certified by the end of 2011,” said Kristian von Bonsdorff, development director at Itella Logistics.
