CityPost announces 180 new jobs

Ireland-based alternative postal provider CityPost has announced the creation of 180 new jobs over the next 18 months. The majority of the new jobs will be based at CityPost’s headquarters in Ballymount, but some will be created across a number of its 32 regional handling centres in Ireland.

The group currently employs 188 people in Ireland and delivers to 950,000 homes every week. The new positions will be in mail sorting, delivery and collection, operations and administration.

Commenting on the announcement, managing director Ian Glass said: “CityPost is in expansion mode and providing a real alternative to An Post.

“We have had a hugely successful year and are braced for even more growth. This sustainable growth has been carefully and meticulously planned for quite some time now.”

CityPOST, which was set up in Ireland in 1987, also has operations in Portugal, where it employs 120 people.
