Pascal Koradi appointed next CFO at Swiss Post
Swiss Post has recruited a new chief finance officer from the banking sector to succeed Markus Zenhäusern, who retired due to ill health in October. Pascal Koradi, 39, will join Swiss Post from Neue Aargauer Bank (NAB), a regional banking subsidiary of Credit Suisse, in March 2012.
In the mean time, deputy CFO Thomas Egger is heading up financial affairs at Swiss Post.
Koradi is currently CFO at NAB, having joined the company in the year 2000 as head of treasury before becoming head of trading and ultimately CFO from July 2006.
Swiss Post said Koradi’s background and experience in developing the corporate strategy at NAB, along with his knowledge of regulatory affairs, gave him good credentials for the role of financial chief at Swiss Post.
Swiss Post’s chief executive Jürg Bucher, himself set to leave the company in September next year, said: “In Pascal Koradi Swiss Post has engaged a young but proven financial practitioner possessing a strategic farsightedness, who shares the values of our company.”
The next Swiss Post CFO qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst at the Association for Investment Management and Research (now CFA Institute) in the US, while his academic background includes business studies at the University of Zurich and time at the University of California.
He currently lectures at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and at the Northwestern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, and is in the process of researching a dissertation on financial reporting in regional banks at the University of Zurich.
Koradi is married, with two children, and lives in Canton Aargau, in northern Switzerland.
