TT Hellenic Postbank consolidates its network

Rapid progress is being made towards combining the systems of TT Hellenic Postbank and the former T Bank, to provide better service for the public at 1,017 access points. ‘Just two months have passed since the announcement of the transfer of T Bank assets to TT Hellenic Postbank, and already our systems are speaking the same language’, said TT Hellenic Postbank Chairman, Mr. Kleon Papadopoulos. ‘This is a major achievement’, he continued. ‘After a very short period of time, customers of both TT Hellenic Postbank and the former T Bank can now enjoy service without extra procedures from the expanded network of branches and ATMs’.

Together with the network of the former T Bank, and the affiliated Post Office branches, the network of TT Hellenic Postbank branches now offers 1,017 service points throughout Greece. Since the end of February all customers of both banks have been able to conduct transactions involving demand deposit accounts, while holders of debit cards with both TT Hellenic Postbank and the former T Bank can make free withdrawals of cash or request balance slips from ATMs.

As part of the process of alignment of the operations of the former T Bank with those of TT Hellenic Postbank, work has started on standardizing the products and services offered by the two banks’ networks.

From as early as February the time deposit accounts and products in the TT Hellenic Postbank’s “Anevaino EXTRA” range have been available from branches of the former T Bank.

Also, the demand deposit accounts T Tamieftiriou Aplos (in Euro), T Tamieftiriou Aplos (in foreign currency), T Trechoumenos Aplos, T Misthodosia Plus, T Opseos Aplos (in Euro), and T Opseos Aplos (in foreign currency)have been designed to match in all respects the existing TT Hellenic Postbank accounts, and have been available since 7 March. Finally, the deposit accounts Megalono, Apotamievo and Tamieftirio 18 PLUS are also now available.

It is the intention of TT Hellenic Postbank – during this transitional period – to ensure seamless continuity of sales of products similar to those of TT Hellenic from the network of the former T Bank, the ultimate objective being to increase sales from a broader network of branches, to serve a larger share of the customer base and thereby strengthen the presence of TT Hellenic Postbank on the banking map of Greece.
