Opening of the 400th common branch of BAWAG PSK and Austria Post

With bank-branch post office located in 1037 Vienna, Rennweg 1 an important milestone is reached. An important milestone in the branch offensive of BAWAG PSK and Austrian Post is reached: on the 24thSeptember 2012, the 400th site was opened as part of the implementation of the joint branch concept. Thus BAWAG PSK and its traditional partner, the Austrian Post, aim to reach their common goal with long strides closer by offering their customer, by the end of 2012, an attractive, customer friendly branch network under one roof.

On September 24, 2012 , the solemn opening of the branch in 1037 Vienna, Rennweg 1, with the presence of BAWAG PSK’s General Director Byron Haynes, Arno Wohlfahrter, BAWAG PSK head of retail distribution, Post General Director Georgl Pölzl and Walter Hitziger, Executive Director Letter, Advertising & branches of Austrian Post.

The branch offensive of BAWAG PSK and Austrian Post AG provides for the common branch offensive BAWAG PSK and Austrian Post to operate until the end of the year to around 500 common branches throughout Austria. Regardless of whether the post complements existing bank branches, or vice versa: The new sites will be modernized before the joint opening of new ground up, restructured and updated to the latest state of the art. Thus BAWAG PSK and Post are united under one roof – with all the resulting benefits for customers. Now the newly opened branch at Rennweg 1 is the 400th, under the branch offensive successfully implemented location – and the 52nd Store Vienna.
Quick orientation
Inside the completely redesigned branches, the bank and post office area are separated. The clear color concept – the postal area is in yellow, the banking sector is decorated in red – the orientation is easy. The yellow area at the customer counter transactions are processed for both postal and financial services. There, customers as usual give letters, parcels and pick up merchandise purchase and cash transactions to perform. Providing advice in banking affairs consultant are both places in the frequency area and a calm premium advisory zone, also on the upper floor, is available.
Self-service area with fully equipped
Another advantage of the new branch concept is to create a new, generously proportioned, self-service zone in the entrance area, which is accessible from 0 to 24 clock: Bank customers are outside opening times ATM devices, self-service scanner, statement printers and Bareinzahlungsgeräte available. Furthermore mailboxes re set up for postal customers and supply around the clock access so that letters can be mailed. Thus offering the BAWAG PSK and postal customers a fully-equipped one-stop-shop – a site with all the banking and postal services .
On weekdays open longer for customers
On common locations uniform opening times of banks and post office are implemented. Therefore the new office on Rennweg 1 will be open during the week with extended banking hours. Customers have the opportunity to take, all banking services from Monday to Friday all day zwischen 8 und 18 clock in clock claim.
Post partners support the branch network
The plan in that a total of 500 combined locations of BAWAG PSK and Austrian Post AG will be established in Austria, providing the public with a comprehensive range of banking and postal services. As well, others postal partners complement the dense branch network. The goal is to be positioned as a local partner when it concerns banking and postal services. Previously there were just 1,300 post on the operating partnership. By the end of 2012 a total of 1,350 postal partners are planned. In Vienna currently 25 post-partners are active but by the end of 2012
there will be 40 PO partners. In addition to the various services of Austrian Post by BAWAG PSK cash deposits and withdrawals on accounts and savings accounts are possible. Post partners undergo extensive training and obtain certification only after you have access to the banking system of BAWAG PSK
A recently launched pilot project in some 60 postal partners was completed in the framework of a new product and sales concept Account boxes (current accounts) and interest boxes (Interest Advantage Card) have successfully mediated. For the Fall of 2012, the rollout of this product concept is planned for a further 80 post partners. Widespread consultation quality guarantee additionally advise highly trained financial advisors in the 500 BAWAG PSK stores, the customers of postal partners to various financial and product issues.
