Philpost launches online money transfer service in Saudi Arabia

The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) launched last weekend a new online money transfer service, a report of the news site Arab News said. Postmaster General and CEO Josefina dela Cruz told Arab News, ““PHLPost has new products and services which are not offered by current players in the remittance industry in the Kingdom. By supporting these, you’ll not only help jumpstart PHLPost but also help save the jobs of 11,000 compatriots back home.”

The new service, dubbed e-Postmo, is an electronic postal money order service that lets beneficiaries receive the money on the same day the OFWs sent it as long as the remittance is received and delivered or collected before 5:00 p.m. in the Philippines, five hours ahead of Saudi time.
