Mailboxes Etc to expand in new market (Norway)

Private post offices have found their way to Norway. In May 2001, Oslo’s first private post office, Mailboxes etc, opened its doors. The office, part of the American franchise chain Mailboxes etc., has 250 mailboxes and offers services such as photocopying, stamps and packaging. Today the Norwegian franchisee has some 100 permanent customers in Oslo. The goal is to establish offices in another 60 Norwegian cities within the next 10 years. With offices in 35 countries, Mailboxes picks up mail and parcels from its customers, handles packaging and postage and delivers the mail to the regular post office. When at its destination, Mailboxes pick the mail up and delivers it to the receiver.
