T&B: contract with 7-Eleven

Tibbett & Britten Group North America Inc. (TBGNA), the North American division of the globally operating British logistics service provider. recently signed a Iongterm contract with the US retail store chain 7-Eleven. TBGNA will handle logistics activ tics for the DalIasTX (USA) based chain at its two distribution centres in Burlington NJ and San Jose CA. and supply approximately ñ5() 7-Eleven stores in Northern California and in the northeastern states. The two terminals arc home to a combined fleet of 100 trucks and employ a stall of approximately 200.
nder the agreement, T&B is providing reirigerated cross-dock management and daily fresh food deliveries to local 7-Eleven stores in the two areas. The stores place orders for time-sensitive products — including dairy, sandw iches, pastries, bread and various beverages by 10:00 for delivery by
05:00 next day, ensuring that made-to-order fresh foods and other perishables reach the stores just hours after preparation.
7-Eleven runs roughly
5800 stores in the JS and in Canada directly or through franchisees and licenses a worldwide network of over 16000 branches. The company posted a turnover of USD 29 billion in 2000.
