DTD joins Skynet Worldwide Express

SKYNET WORLDWlDE has increased its European footprint with the signing of a new network partner: Sweden based Door to Door (DTD).
DTD has been operating in the Swedish marr et since 1991, specialising in fast express freight services both domestically and internationally using air and ground transportation, but from 1 January DTD ceased as a trading name.
The move under the SkyNet umbrella gives the Swedish operator greater scope, according to DTD’s managing director, Lars Wickholm.
“So far, our strength has primarily been focused on our personalised services with fast and effective transportation, as well as close contact with our customers. As a part-
ner in SkyNet we have a possibility to further develop our services with the help of SkyNet’s international resources and high-tech support. Now we have a greater international base with a strong and well-known trademark.
SkyNef’s Swedish arm will be based in DTD’s current offices in Stockholm, and will keep the Gothenburg office. It plans to open more offices in Malmo and Norrland.
Michiel Campagne, chairman of the Sky Network Management Company said: “The growth with Sweden is an important step. We look at Sweden as an important market with big potential that enables us to strengthen our express services to and from Sweden.”
