NetDespatch halves order-to-despatch time for BeautyCow

NetDespatch, provider of web-based integration solutions for postal and parcel carrier customers, has enabled luxury hair and beauty products company, BeautyCow, to significantly improve its despatch processes through seamless integration between its Linnworks Order Management system and the APC Overnight next-day delivery network. The NetDespatch Retail Solutions team, who are experts in carrier integration solutions, evaluated the integration options available within the Linnworks system and reviewed BeautyCow’s manual processes, before demonstrating how major cost savings and better customer service could be achieved.

The solution was implemented within just a few days. Despatch data created on the Linnworks system is automatically sent in real-time via a secure connection to the NetDespatch processing platform, using the local NetDespatch Connector application. The correct labels for APC Overnight are immediately printed in the warehouse on a thermal printer and attached to the prepared parcels. At the same time, the NetDespatch platform electronically pre-advises the local APC Overnight delivery depot, Parcel Express Overnight in Saltash, Cornwall.

APC Overnight parcel tracking events, scans and signatures are also made available on the NetDespatch processing platform. Using the tracking number returned to Linnworks by the NetDespatch Connector application, the orders can be tracked online from despatch to final delivery. Automating the whole order-to-despatch process means that the delivery details entered by the online shopper are used to print the labels and pre-advise the carrier, ensuring higher delivery success rates, and also saving BeautyCow staff hours of manual work and customer service enquiries.

“It’s so easy now. Order information is automatically sent through, labels printed, the carrier is notified, and that’s it,” said Ben Towle, Director, BeautyCow. “Eighteen months ago, we were spending all day preparing orders. Now we’re finished by noon, which gives us the rest of the day to list more products and push our business forward.”

NetDespatch provides a cost-free solution for retailers with an easy to use secure system that automates the connection between order processing and despatch and delivery, even if the orders are received in one location and dispatched from another.  There are no costs involved for installation, training or support, and the system is available instantly.
