Frank Marthaler to leave Swiss Post

Frank Marthaler to leave Swiss Post

Frank Marthaler, head of Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) and member of Group Executive Management, will be leaving Swiss Post on 30 June 2014. He has headed the Group unit since 2007. Thomas Pieper, the current deputy head of SPS, will assume interim responsibility for the unit. After more than 15 years with Swiss Post, seven of which as a member of Group Executive Management, he decided to seek a new professional orientation.

Frank Marthaler joined Swiss Post in 1999 and took on setting up the Group-wide key account management. Various innovative electronic services such as the electronic patient record ‘vivates’, the secure e-mail service ‘IncaMail’ and the digital signature for electronic business processes were developed under his direction.

Starting in 2009, Frank Marthaler created the Group unit Swiss Post Solutions from a large number of the Group’s own and acquired SMEs. With its 6,800 employees, SPS today generates revenues of above 600 million Swiss Francs in more than 20 countries, ranking among the top ten companies in this sector on a global scale. The handover takes place at the conclusion of a relevant phase in the development of the unit. SPS expects good first quarter results.
