FedEx partners with Abdul Latif Jameel Group in Saudi Arabia
FedEx Express has boosted its business in Saudi Arabia by partnering with Abdul Latif Jameel Group. The family-owned firm, which employs 15,800 people globally and has headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and in Dubai, has become a global service provider for FedEx Express.
It will see FedEx Express providing international inbound and outbound services for customers through the Abdul Latif Jameel Group.
FedEx has been active in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years, but said it will now be able to use the Saudi conglomerate’s market expertise.
The US express delivery giant said demand for international shipping is expected to grow by between 5% and 8% through 2020.
The company said Saudi Arabia is expected to see $100bn (USD) investment in its transportation and logistics sector over the next decade, which will help drive international trade.
