TNT upgrades international parcel services to Germany
Express delivery giant TNT has upgraded its international delivery service to Germany with the addition of next-day parcel and freight delivery to all postal codes. The company said today that the “major” upgrade in its service also adds the possibility of an optional delivery before 12:00 nationwide for parcels and freight shipments.
Customers can now reach 10% of the German territory one day faster, with double the number of locations that can be reached before noon.
The enhanced service is expected to benefit companies exporting goods to Germany, Europe’s largest express delivery market and TNT’s top destination for international deliveries, particularly firms in the automotive, industrial, high tech, healthcare and lifestyle sectors.
TNT said it was responding to demand for rapid delivery services with greater control over the delivery time.
Ian Clough, managing director of TNT International Europe, said: “Improving service to customers is central to TNT’s Outlook strategy. We are determined to increase the reach and efficiency of our international express delivery service in Europe, starting with our number one destination, Germany.”
TNT said the service upgrade follows several operational improvements made in recent months, including investments in the company’s European Road Network and its air hub in Liege, Belgium.
Last November TNT began a new daily overnight flight between Liege and Hanover.
