Palletways predict Easter boom
Palletways, the UK’s palletised freight network, is predicting a record volume of goods coming into its warehousing solutions operation ahead of the busy Easter period. Staff at Palletways Fulfilment are gearing up to receive increased volume coming into its Fradley-based facility as demand for retail deliveries heightens in the lead up to Easter.
Rob Gittins, UK Sales & Commercial Director at Palletways (UK) Ltd, said: “Easter is now right on the horizon and already there are clear signs that increased volume is coming into our Fulfilment hub.
“Easter is our busiest period of the year, even more so than at Christmas, and we expect to break our record for volumes handled due to renewed consumer confidence. Our Fulfilment team are focusing on service provision for the Easter period to ensure our customers receive the kind of service they’ve come to expect from us during this seasonal peak.”
Palletways has come a long way since it started trading 20 years ago when it delivered 46,000 pallets of goods in its first year. The Group now has a turnover of some £200m and delivers over 7m pallets annually to 14 European countries through a network of 12 hub operations and more than 400 depots. In the UK one in every four pallets handled by palletised freight networks is distributed by Palletways.
