TransForce reports Q2 revenue of $1.1bn

North American transportation and logistics company TransForce has reported that its total revenue for the second quarter of 2015 was just under $1.1 billion, up 23% on last year. Alain Bédard, the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of TransForce, said that the company had “delivered solid operating results”.

Income from operating activities (EBIT) for the quarter ended 30 June was $97.8m – up from $51.6m for the second quarter (2Q) of 2014.

For the first six months of 2015, total revenue amounted to $2.13 billion, up 28% from $1.66 billion a year earlier. The company’s package and courier division notched up revenues of $304.8m, up from the $288.5m achieved in the first six months of 2014. The adjusted EBIT for the package and courier business was $26.6m, down slightly from the $27.3m recorded for January to June 2014.
