Germany-wide roll-out for “eBay Plus”?

The Wall Street Journal has reported that eBay is set launch a “speedy shipping membership” service in Germany, called eBay Plus. According to the report in today’s (11 September) WSJ, membership will cost €22 and offer free two-day delivery on selected items, as well as free returns within 30 days of purchase.

The WSJ said that eBay has been trialling the service in Germany since May, and now plans to roll it out nationwide this month (September).

The report quoted Carl Gish, eBay Germany’s Vice President of Shipping, as saying that thousands of members have already signed up for the service.
