Amazon plans new logistics centre in Werne

Amazon Germany has announced that it plans to build a new logistics centre in Werne in 2016. The company already has a logistics centre in Werne, which has been up and running since 2010. The existing facility, however, is rented, whereas Amazon will own the new distribution centre.

In its official statement about the new Werne facility, issued on 19 September, Amazon added that its overall European logistics network currently encompasses 29 logistics centres in seven countries, with about 24,500 permanent employees.
