Domino’s Pizza India announces technology partnership with Zippr

Domino’s Pizza India has announced a technology partnership with Zippr which it hopes will “solve the problem of delivering to complex addresses”. Hyderabad-based startup Zippr claims that it has “a unique solution to India’s address woes”. It has developed an eight-character code called a ‘Zippr’ which “replaces the 4-line address and enables anyone to use it to share with Emergency services, E-Com, Food Delivery and every place you potentially need an address”.

In a statement issued yesterday, Domino’s Pizza India said: “Domino’s Pizza users can now simply enter a Zippr code to checkout instead of entering a 4-line address.

“The integration is being launched for users in Delhi-NCR and will be rolled out in other cities in the next 15 days.

“This integration is already active on the Domino’s Pizza’s mobile App and mobile web platforms, with the plan to roll out to various platforms including call center by the end of the year, enabling consumers to give a Zippr over a telephone order instead of explaining an address.”

Aditya Vuchi, the Founder and CEO of Zippr, said his company is also in “late stage talks” with other companies in the food and e-commerce space in order to help them “enable faster checkout for their consumers and also solve their last mile logistics problems”.

The Domino’s Pizza brand is operated in India by Jubilant FoodWorks, which is a part of Jubilant Bhartia group.
