Ge-Be Transport joins Palletways

Kings Lynn-based logistics firm Ge-Be Transport has joined Palletways, the European express palletised freight network. Ge-Be Transport will handle 2,000 pallets for the network, servicing the Norfolk area.

The firm, which was founded in 1982 and employs over 50 people in Kings Lynn has invested more than £225,000 in new vehicles to bolster its Palletways operations. The company now has a fleet of over 40 vehicles which includes three new Scania lorries.

Jason Green, Director at Ge-Be Transport said: “We decided to join Palletways because of its mature domestic and pan-European networks, which will add a lot of value to our service offering in East Anglia. The company is also ahead of the curve in terms of innovation and IT and we look forward to benefiting from the state-of-the-art monitoring and tracking systems which will enhance our operational efficiencies.”

Luis Zubialde, Managing Director at Palletways UK ltd, added: “Ge-Be Transport is one of nine new members to join our UK network this year and I am pleased to welcome them. Demand for our palletised freight services has risen rapidly over recent months and we look forward to drawing in their experience to grow our presence in the Norfolk area.”
