Alibaba signs FIFA Club World Cup partnership deal

Alibaba E-Auto, an “Internet car” brand owned by Alibaba Group, has signed an eight-year Presenting Partnership agreement for the FIFA Club World Cup. FIFA and Alibaba announced the deal at a press conference held at the Conrad hotel in Tokyo, Japan, ahead of the start of the competition tomorrow (10 December).

The Chinese online retailer giant plans to launch its first “Internet car” in 2016 together with Shanghai Automotive Industry Cooperation (SAIC).

Alibaba E-Auto will present the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award at each match during the tournament in Japan, including the final match on 20 December.
