China Postal Express & Logistics and JD.com sign cross-border e-commerce agreement

China Postal Express & Logistics and JD.com have signed a strategic agreement regarding cooperation over cross-border e-commerce. According to the agreement, which was signed on 25 November, China Postal Express & Logistics will deliver goods purchased by Chinese customers via the online shopping platform from foreign sellers.

In a statement about the deal posted on its website on 4 December, China Postal Express & Logistics said it had completed the delivery of 470m pieces of cross-border postal packages in the first three quarters this year, with a 74.1% increase, accounting for 60% of the whole market.

“So far, JD has provided its customers with access to purchasing their goods from retailers in the US, France, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea and several other nations, which has greatly increased its transaction volume and popularity amongst domestic citizens.” added statement.
