FedEx says “unprecedented surge of last-minute e-commerce shipments” contributed to Christmas delays

FedEx has claimed that “an unprecedented surge of last-minute e-commerce shipments” contributed to the delays in its parcel deliveries in the run-up to Christmas. The company had previously focused on severe weather conditions as the primary cause for its parcel deliveries.

FedEx added that the volume of Christmas packages this year had “far exceeded all previous records”.
